May update

Here is an update of what is going on at Engaging Interiors the May…

Possible Projects

At the moment there are quotes out for a few projects including a design for a Brewery, a Wine Merchants and a Members Bar. Tomorrow I am visiting a country house to see how we might extend it with the design of a swimming pool and gym.

Interiors on the books

Last year we designed a hotel and now the prototype rooms have been built and tested we are updating the drawing package so that the interior design can go out to tender shortly. We have just finished the technical drawing stage of a Family run Pie Shop that will be going on site in the next month. This is the second site we have designed for the Pie Shop owners and we are hoping to continue the design and look of the existing shop whilst tackling some of the crowd management issues that cropped up due to the success of the last shop. We have a Noodle shop for Oxford on the drawing board which is part of a larger chain of shops.

Interiors on Site

Projects on site include a sushi bar in South west London which is a bit of a slow burner, a British Restaurant in Cambridge that should be opening in around a month and a residential house that I have been involved with for about 6 years, it’s very bespoke and quite big. There will be another project going on site this month which we designed previously for their relative. It’s a wine and coffee shop and it is having what I would call a rebrand and a heavy lick of paint. The bar will be relocated and fixed seating will be installed along with new lighting, furniture and signage. This will all happen in one week….

General news

The biggest change to the office this month has been the arrival of our new Freelancer. As sods law would have it work dipped just a she was appointed but things are on the up once more and getting back to their usual pace, so all should be good with the increase in size and productivity at Engaging Interiors Limited, 139 High Street Lewes…
